Le Corbusier
 Unité d' Habitation May 2006 Guus Enning and François Konings were staying in Marseille. For them and a couple of collegues from the Rotterdam Urban Design Department visiting this harbour city at that particular moment was interesting, because Marseille was already preparing his cultural capital of Europe status, that was forseen for 2013.
They stayed in a hotel in the Unité d’Habitation that was designed by Le Corbusier. Very impressed by this iconic example of modern architecture Guus Enning starts (video)filming and invites his (friend and) collegue François Konings (totally unprepared) to comment on what they are seeing while they were visiting different parts of the building.
The result is an interesting short documentary, that shows in a spontanious way the special qualities of this particular building that was so important for the direction, that architecture devellopped itself in the twentiest century.Dure: ± 10 minutes |
 Unité d' Habitation Début 2006 Guus Enning et François Konings se trouvent à Marseille accompagnés de leurs collègues du Service d’Urbanisme de la ville de Rotterdam. Ils visitent cette ville portuaire, qui se prépare déjà pour l’ année 2013 pendant laquelle Marseille sera ‘Capitale Culturelle de l’Europe’.
Pendant cette visite professionelle ils logent à l’hotel qui se trouve dans l’Unité d’Habitation, celui ci est également conçu par Le Corbusier .
Très impressionné par ce bâtiment emblématique Guus Enning commence à filmer et invite son ami et collègue François Konings à commenter ce qu’ ils découvrent pendant la visite des différentes parties du bâtiment.
Les images une fois montées, il en résulte un document intéressant, qui montre d’une façon spontanée et non conventionelle toutes les caractérestiques de ce bâtiment dont l’ importance fut décisive dans le développement de l’architecture du vingtième siècle.Durée: ± 10 minutes |
 Unité d' Habitation In het voorjaar van 2006 brengen Guus Enning en François Konings, samen met een aantal collega's van de stedenbouwkundige dienst van de gemeente Rotterdam, een bezoek aan de havenstad Marseille. Een bestemming , die mede interessant is, omdat men daar op dat moment druk bezig is met de voorbereidingen van 2013, het jaar waarin Marseille culturele hoofdstad van Europa zal zijn.
Tijdens deze vak-excursie logeren zij in de Unité d'Habitation van Le Corbusier, waarin behalve woningen ook een hotel is gevestigd.
Diep onder de indruk van dit gebouw makt Guus Enning met zijn meegenomen amateur video-camera een aantal (film)opnamen, waarin hij zijn (vriend en) collega François Konings geheel onvoorbereid laat vertellen wat ze in hun wandeling door het gebouw zoal aantreffen.
Na montage is hieruit een interessant document ontstaan, dat op bondige en spontane wijze laat zien wat dit gebouw zo bijzonder maakt en waarom het een belangrijke rol in de ontwikkeling van de architectuur van de vorige eeuw heeft gespeeld.Duur: ± 10 minuten |
